Girls in the Sisterhood!

Am in Ft. Lauderdale, FL doing missions training for our 500 participants for this summer's missions trip. And I'd LOVE for you to start praying NOW about joining us next summer!

That's right! Through SUSIE Mag, we'll continue our annual summer missions trip. Next summer's dates are: June 28 to July 11, 2010 and we'll be going back to Antigua, Guatemala.

Anyhoo . . . yesterday I broke away from missions training for an hour to head to the mall with one of the leaders who needed a pair of shoes. So we go into the shoe store, and I'm waiting for her as she's trying on a variety of shoes.

Suddenly, the sales gal started screaming (she saw my name badge that I still had on from missions training) and said she used to get Brio magazine. So I got to tell her about SUSIE Mag.

She's 21 now, and when we told her we were here for missions training and getting ready to leave for Guatemala on Thursday. And she said her cousin was on the trip WITH us. So I invited her to FUAGNEM (Fired Up And Going Nuts Every Minute--our evening service at the hotel), and she came.

Fun time! Great to meet her.
Bottom line: Even though we're not all wearing a name badge each day . . . we DO wear the badge of Christ.  And we never know who's watching our actions and reactions.

Here's the challenge: Live up to His badge!

Love you, Girls!

Thanks so much, that's an amazing story! My favourite article in the July issue is the "Depression to Restoration" and the tips on making friends. I also told some friends about SUSIE mag and they might subscribe =D=D <3<3.

  5. That is a great story. And speaking off wearing badges (or other identifying marks of that kind), I have worn the necklace from last year's trip to Peru almost everywhere, so that has opened opportunities for me to share about Christ to people who ask me what the hebrew words say. Same kind of thing, right? Have fun at fuagnem tonight Susie!

  10. Hi, Girls! I'll try to answer all your questions so far: The July issue has been mailed. So if you didn't get it, call 1-888-81-SUSIE. The cover story is on new Christian contemporary artist Lanae Hale. She was a cutter during part of her high school years, and God brought healing to her life. She tells her story.

Yes, we'll have an "In Box" section, only it's called "We Hear You!" and it begins with the August issue.

Winners for the Beautiful You contest should be announced pretty soon by Jonny's record company.

I'm heading to Guatemala now, girls. Pray for us, OK? And pray about joining me on next summer's trip BACK to Antigua, Guatemala.

  13. Hi, Girls!

If you haven't received your July issue yet, you can call 1-888-81-SUSIE. This is the number for all your subscription questions. If you haven't received July yet, it COULD be that you subscribed right after the cut-off date to get July and your subscription will begin with August. But if you got June, you should certainly get July. So call the number if it doesn't get there in a day.

    Love you!
    Susie

  14. Dear Susie,
It was such a pleasure to meet you. I wasn't able to tell you what God's been doing in my life, but I hope you'll visit my dance blog to see the fruit of His patience with me.

Thank you so much for investing in the next generation. I hope I can encourage you as much as you've encouraged me.

    Blessings,
